Roldan Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, June 5th , 2026 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Diego Roldan of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 4-3 win over the Lynchburg Hillcats at Cannon Ballers Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Diego Roldan singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. To date this year, Roldan is batting .320 with no home runs. |
