Scott Given 2-Game Suspension
Wednesday, July 29th , 2026
Danny Scott, second baseman for the Delmarva Shorebirds, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 2-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Fayetteville.

After being called out on strikes, Scott stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap.

"I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Scott told BNN today.

Scott is hitting .224 this season with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 134 at-bats.
