Zang Takes CAR #1 Pitcher Trophy Saturday, August 1st , 2026 An-yan Zang doesn't think about his career all that much. He doesn't fixate on yesterday and he doesn't worry about next season -- he has learned to worry only about today. That attitude, coupled with 9 saves in 13 relief appearances netted the 21-year-old reliever July's Carolina League Pitcher of the Month trophy earlier today. The Fredericksburg reliever pitched 16 innings, struck out 13 and walked 3 on the way to a 2-1 mark and a 0.56 ERA. This season, Zang has worked 37.1 innings in 31 relief appearances and picked up 20 saves. He has dished out 35 strikeouts and walked 13 with a 3-2 mark and a 1.69 ERA. |
