McMenamin Goes 5-for-6 Against Tampa Thursday, August 27th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Danny McMenamin -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Hammerheads Park and paced the 5-4 Hammerheads win over the Tampa Tarpons. After his dynamite batting performance, the Jupiter shortstop told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Danny McMenamin singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Rich Garcia in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. This year, McMenamin is batting .413 with 31 hits, 2 home runs, 11 RBIs, 2 walks, .443 OBP and has scored 8 runs. |
