Bradenton Snaps Green Streak at 20 Sunday, September 6th , 2026 Jahiem Green, right fielder for the Tampa Tarpons, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Bradenton Marauders. Not only did the Marauders break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Tampa by the score of 5-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Green said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." Green is batting .291 with 2 home runs and 14 RBIs this season. |
