Ports Hurler Named CAL's Best Starter Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 The Pitcher of the Month Award has been announced and the California League winner is Stockton hurler, Vaughan Schenkel. For his fine efforts in August he has been named the league's #1 pitcher. During the month, Schenkel excelled with a 1.69 ERA and 5 wins and no losses.
