5-for-6 Game for Mason Saturday, June 13th , 2026 The Los Angeles A(ACL) Angels stopped the Kansas City(ACL) Royals Blue by a score of 8-5 at Royals Blue Grounds, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Jim Mason. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Mason said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Mason did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Royals Blue. "Not much that I can say," offered Kansas City(ACL) manager Ethan Tyson. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jim Mason doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Karl Burrows in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. |
