Stephens Goes on Rampage Against Guardians Sunday, June 14th , 2026 Texas(ACL) first baseman Mike Stephens had a big day at Progressive Field against the Cleveland(ACL) Guardians. The 23-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 19-4 Rangers triumph over Cleveland(ACL). "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Stephens said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Mike Stephens hit a two-run home run off Eleuterio Bedeschi in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Luce in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. |
