Goodykoontz Gets 6 Hits Tuesday, July 21st , 2026 Mike Goodykoontz exploded for a barrage of base hits at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Cincinnati(ACL) right fielder had a field day in his team's 17-12 triumph over the Los Angeles A(ACL) Angels, finishing 6-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Goodykoontz must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Mike Goodykoontz singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Goodykoontz is hitting .313 so far this season with 16 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 41 hits including 2 home runs, 11 walks and .368 OBP. |
