Howerton Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Tuesday, July 28th , 2026 The number just keeps getting higher. ACL shortstop David Howerton has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the ACL won the game, 9-3, over the Arizona(ACL) Diamondbacks at Chase Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Arizona(ACL) manager Sean Kitchens said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." David Howerton hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Angelo Arad in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Thus far this year, Howerton is hitting .405 with 7 home runs, 45 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
