Jazo Blasts 3 into Bleachers Saturday, August 8th , 2026 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Colorado Field were taking cover all day long as Edgar Jazo zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the ACL center fielder helped the Athletics take the victory, 18-2, over the Colorado(ACL) Rockies. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 3 runs. Edgar Jazo hit a solo-shot off Carlos Rojas in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Adam Hintz in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Joe O'Neil in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. For the season, Jazo has hit .434 with 25 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 74 times. |
