Fred Lucas told the press after his 6-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."

Well, that's just what Lucas of the Houston (FCL) Astros did against the Atlanta (FCL) Braves. He went to the plate 6 times and 6 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 19-15.

"Not much I can say," offered Lucas in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 6 hits for the win?"

Fred Lucas singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Willie Borrego in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
