Murphy Cracks 5 Hits

Ryan Murphy was on fire against the New York A (FCL) Yankees but it was all in vain as Murphy's Twins fell, 9-8. For the game, the right fielder went 5-for-6 against New York A (FCL) in a fine hitting display.
"I got the pitches I was looking for and I connected," he said. "Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in."
Ryan Murphy singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Marco Lopez in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

Baltimore (FCL) Orioles Orange center fielder Rob Rader went 5-for-6 and paced the 22-3 Baltimore (FCL) victory over the Washington (FCL) Nationals at Nationals Park.
"Well, that was fun," Rader said, following the game.
Rob Rader singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Alfonso Agudelo in the 5th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
Looking at his stats this year, Rader has compiled a .652 batting average, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 9 runs. He has played in 5 games and scored 7 runs.

5-for-7 Day for Lewis

Craig Lewis was at the head of a Baltimore (FCL) hit parade at Nationals Park. The left fielder went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Orioles Orange to a nice 22-3 victory over the Washington (FCL) Nationals.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Lewis told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Nationals skipper Kyle Calloway said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
