The Lake Wylie Renegades got a superb performance from pitcher Pancho Garcia, but the Athletics still won the game, 4-3. Garcia threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Luis Negrete, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The defeat makes Lake Wylie 58-51.

took a 4-3 lead on Chris Dailey's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Dailey hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lake Wylie pitcher Jon Beckley visibly frustrated.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Dailey.
