Lake Wylie and Cincinnati duked it out and the Renegades came out victorious.
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Lake Wylie Renegades and the Cincinnati Reds. Lake Wylie won it, 3-0. Lake Wylie starter Vic Garcia was in command. Lake Wylie reliever Vic Garcia got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Jeremy Holley was tagged with the loss. Kyle Williams notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
The Renegades got a big at-bat from right fielder Alex Alcantar. For the game, Alcantar was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 22nd double of the season gave Lake Wylie a 2-0 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Alcantar.
The victory gives Lake Wylie a record of 61-51.
