The Los Angeles Angels powered past the Lake Wylie Renegades, 9-3, at Renegades Field. Larry Lynch provided some of the pop. He was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. By defeating Lake Wylie, the third-place Angels improved to 61-56.

With Los Angeles leading 6-2 in the top of the seventh, Lynch came up to bat against Lake Wylie pitcher John Rood. Lynch hit a slider to right for a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season put the Angels on top, 9-2.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Lynch after the game.
