The River Hills Rockets knocked off the Cincinnati Reds, 6-2, in National League action at Great American Ball Park. River Hills pitcher and Salem, Oregon, native Jim Schuman had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Schuman, now 7-8. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. River Hills is now 51-65, Cincinnati 61-55.

River Hills used the timely hitting of Trey Ruffin to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockets on top, 6-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

Schuman attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
