Rockets Sunk by Reds
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Cincinnati Reds and the River Hills Rockets, Kevin Flavell, who leads the NL in wins with 13, proved to be the difference. The Cincinnati right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Reds win. After today's action, Cincinnati sits at 63-55, while River Hills falls to 51-67.
The Reds got a big at-bat from right fielder Devin Brown. For the game, Brown went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 29th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.
"Good ballgame," said River Hills manager Blake Wheeler. "But we came up on the short end."
