The River Hills Rockets rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Tony Segura to a win, beating the New York Mets, 3-2, at River Hills Grounds. Segura, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Trevor Baker notched his 4th save in 7 chances.

Right Fielder Trey Ruffin made an impact for River Hills, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Chris Matthews in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Ruffin was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said New York manager Robert Erwin.

The Rockets improved their record to 53-67 by beating New York.
