Riding the 2-hit performance of the slugging third baseman Paul Huter, the New York Mets stopped the River Hills Rockets, 9-1. New York now has a record of 66-56 with the win.
With New York trailing 1-0 in the top of the second, Huter hit a cutter from Jim Schuman for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Mets ahead, 3-1.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Huter.
