The Lake Wylie Renegades could not turn a fine performance from right fielder Alex Alcantar into a win. Instead, the Washington Nationals prevailed, 8-5. Alcantar was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 4 runs. The loss makes Lake Wylie 71-54.

Washington used the timely hitting of Christian Henderson to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Nationals on top, 8-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Washington skipper John Galenski.
