The Lake Wylie Renegades defeated the Boston Red Sox, 9-3, in National League action at Fenway Park. Lake Wylie pitcher Pancho Garcia had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Garcia, now 13-8. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. The victory gives the Renegades a record of 76-58.

Lake Wylie used a clutch at-bat from Martin Albarran to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Renegades ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Renegades manager Scott Barber.
