Lake Wylie got a terrific game from left fielder Jon Stober. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Baltimore, 12-3. Stober was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The triumph puts Baltimore at 80-56 for the season.

The Orioles got a big hit from first baseman Ryan Hockensmith. Facing Lake Wylie pitcher Chris Schamerhorn in the top of the eighth, Hockensmith pounded a bases-clearing double to center. His 1st double of the season put the Orioles ahead, 10-3.

"Nice to score a bunch of runs," said Hockensmith after the game.
