Starting pitcher Carlos Mujica was a major factor in the 3-2 River Hills Rockets triumph over the Atlanta Braves. Adam McElroy was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Billy Dignan.

River Hills got a knockout punch from Luke Brisebois. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"That's baseball," said Atlanta manager Russ Tubbs. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
