Fabela Sparkles in 6-0 Blanking of Detroit
|
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Detroit Tigers as starter Alex Fabela shut them out, 6-0, at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City pitcher struck out 9 and walked 1 while allowing 2 hits.
"Fabela was good but he wasn't flawless," Detroit manager Ed Prudhomme said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Kansas City, but this is on us."
In 29 starts this season, Fabela has fashioned a 12-8 record and a 3.97 ERA.
