Lake Wylie took on Washington in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Salvador Rodriguez, in particular, was fantastic. The Lake Wylie left-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-1. The victory makes Lake Wylie 2-0.

Lake Wylie took a 2-1 lead on Justin Riojas's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Riojas hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Washington pitcher Danny Rutter visibly frustrated.

"I still think this team can play even better," Riojas told the Lake Wylie Gazette.
