Renegades Rack Up 4-1 Win Versus Milwaukee
|
The Lake Wylie Renegades got a stellar effort from pitcher Ken Miller, helping Lake Wylie score a win over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Miller, now 5-3. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 3. Michael Ceja notched his 13th save in 15 chances.
The Renegades got a big at-bat from catcher Gregg Blackketter. For the game, Blackketter was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Lake Wylie a 3-0 lead.
"Bottom line," said Milwaukee skipper Nick Fichthorn, "we didn't play well enough to win."
By defeating Milwaukee, the first-place Renegades improved to 33-28.
