Madero Slams 5 Hits for Memphis Wednesday, June 10th , 2026 It was almost a perfect day for Juan Madero. The Memphis right fielder displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Redbirds lost to the Nashville Sounds, 9-8. Madero told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Memphis manager R.J. Slater told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Juan Madero tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, hit a two-run triple in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th. Madero is batting .284 with 1 home runs and 20 RBIs this season. |
