Mets Win Northeast Division Crown

Members of the Syracuse Mets say they are "100 percent focused" on bringing the first Round 3 championship to their organization.
"It's all you think about and all you play for," said reliever A.J. McLachlan. "That's what would mean the most."
The Mets have accomplished an important first step, today clinching the Northeast Division, with a 74-67 record, for the 1st time.

To win the International League title is the zenith of any baseball career.
Players on postseason qualifiers will get the chance of a lifetime beginning today with the Round 1, where both heroes and goats will arise, but only one team will emerge as the Round 3 champion.
The playoffs are a time for managers to map out pitching and batting matchups and on-the-field strategy. Rivalries soar to new heights and destiny's fickle finger holds the fate of the teams and players. The Round 1 begins today with these games:
Gwinnett Stripers vs Louisville Bats, Worcester Red Sox vs Memphis Redbirds, Indianapolis Indians vs Syracuse Mets and Charlotte Knights vs Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
