Pena Earns IL's Best Pitcher Honor Saturday, August 1st , 2026 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Sergio Pena of the Nashville Sounds. He captured the International League Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in July. Pena started 5 games, threw 38.2 innings, yielded 25 hits and logged a 4-0 record. He put down 27 batters on strikes, walked 8 and compiled a 0.23 ERA. Opposing teams batted .184 against him. For the year, Pena has compiled a 5-9 record with a 4.89 ERA. |
