Zapeta Selected Player of the Week Monday, June 8th , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Xavier Zapeta of the El Paso Chihuahuas. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .476, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Pacific Coast League. Last week Zapeta went 10-for-21, racked up 2 home runs and 6 RBIs and scored 8 runs. It was a heck of a week for the El Paso left fielder. This year, Zapeta is hitting .354, produced 13 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 12 times and gotten on base at a .439 rate. |
