Tacoma-Sugar Land Brawl, McDermott and Justiniano Suspended
Thursday, June 11th , 2026
Steve McDermott of the Tacoma Rainiers and Pedro Justiniano of the Sugar Land Skeeters will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Rainiers-Skeeters game at Sugar Land Stadium.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN McDermott and Justiniano will begin serving them soon.
This season, McDermott has hit at a .270 clip and produced 24 runs batted in, 5 home runs and 24 runs.
Justiniano has taken the mound for 14 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-1 record with a 3.52 ERA. The Sugar Land reliever has limited opposing batters to a .281 batting average.
