Express Blank Albuquerque, Sims Winner Monday, August 3rd , 2026 In a seemingly effortless performance, Brian Sims of the Round Rock Express shot down the Albuquerque Isotopes, 2-0, on 6 hits. "Brian was just locating so well and using his pitches," Round Rock manager Matt Hietpas said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Sims recorded 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Albuquerque manager Chance Van Treese said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." Thus far this season, Sims has worked 76 innings with 54 strikeouts en route to a 4-5 record and a 4.74 ERA. |
