Reliever Estrada Top PCL Pitcher in August Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 Sometimes relievers are treated like second class citizens, most of the time the award goes to the starters, but not this month. A reliever, Mario Estrada, has been named the Pitcher of the Month in the Pacific Coast League. In August, the Reno relief specialist stood out with 8 saves in 11 relief appearances, a 1-0 won-lost mark and 0.82 ERA. He worked 11 innings, allowed 12 hits, struck out 10 and walked 2. Estrada has 44 relief appearances this year with 32 saves. Estrada has also compiled a 1-0 won-lost mark with a 0.43 ERA. In 41.2 innings he has fanned 44. |
