Amarillo Skunked by Valladares, 7-0 Monday, August 10th , 2026 In a seemingly effortless performance, Fernando Valladares of the Midland RockHounds shot down the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 7-0, on 8 hits. "Fernando was just locating so well and using his pitches," Midland manager Brian Moreno said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Valladares recorded 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Amarillo manager Manny Vera said in postgame comments to BNN.
