To the fan whose club defines success by the number of Round 1 championship trophies lining their clubhouse walls, anything short of the ultimate victory is a disaster. This is playoff baseball. TEX News: Regular Season ends

For the lucky few going to the playoffs, the season is just beginning. For most, the postseason is a just a distant pipe dream -- a season that could have been. Their season is over except for the bashing, rehashing and revamping that takes place in the hot stove league. It's now time for the dominant teams to do battle for the 2026 Texas League championship. It will be decided in the Round 1. Only the best will be left standing.

No Playoff Berth Coming for Wichita

There will be no Round 1 parade in Wichita. The Wichita Wind Surge today were officially eliminated from postseason contention.
The Wind Surge are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team also missed qualifying for the postseason last season.
