Leavitt Shackles Somerset Saturday, July 25th , 2026 Luke Leavitt bent a little, but he didn't break against the Somerset Patriots. The Richmond Flying Squirrels pitcher hurled a 6-hit, 7-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 5 strikeouts. "Luke is good at getting out of jams," Flying Squirrels manager Eddie Baker told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." On the year, Leavitt has worked 68 innings with 47 strikeouts en route to a 5-3 record and 2.51 ERA. |
