Sultan of Swing: Lopez Goes Deep 3 Times

It was a special day for Salvador Lopez, but less so for the Reading Fightin Phils.
Lopez slammed three home runs against the Portland Sea Dogs, but the Sea Dogs outhit him and got the win by a score of 9-8.
"Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."
The Reading right fielder finished the day at Sea Dogs Ballpark with 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Salvador Lopez hit a solo-shot off Eddie Costello in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eddie Costello in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Lance Tompkins in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th.
This year, Lopez is batting .324 with 5 home runs and 8 RBIs.
