Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension
Monday, August 17th , 2026
New Hampshire Fisher Cats second baseman Adam Vulcano was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Bowie Baysox.
"I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Vulcano said.
He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes.
After his ejection, Vulcano went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed."
This year, Vulcano is batting .258 with 70 hits and 13 home runs. He has scored 35 times and has batted in 37 runs.
