Quad Cities Stops Ludwig Hit Streak
Monday, June 15th , 2026
The 20-game hitting streak is over.
Cedar Rapids Kernels left fielder Riley Ludwig failed to get a hit against the Quad Cities River Bandits and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 24-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 8-5 victory over the River Bandits at Kernels Field.
"I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."
Currently Ludwig is hitting .350 and has collected 4 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 34 times, while playing in 52 games.
