McGovern Earns MID Player of the Week Monday, August 17th , 2026 When it came to hitting the baseball, Eddie McGovern was in a class by himself in the Midwest League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Fort Wayne tagged opposing pitchers for a .478 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 homers, 6 runs scored and 9 RBIs. This season, McGovern is batting .298 with 56 RBIs, 51 runs scored and 12 home runs. |
