Cedar Rapids Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Saturday, August 29th , 2026 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Cedar Rapids might have envisioned. The Cedar Rapids Kernels were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Midwest League and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Kernels manager Adam Elmore. The Kernels are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team also missed qualifying for the postseason last season. |
