Jendrzejewski Bashes 5 Base Hits
Monday, June 8th , 2026
The Aberdeen Ironbirds stopped the Bowling Green Hot Rods by a score of 14-0 at Hot Rods Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Mark Jendrzejewski. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Jendrzejewski said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Jendrzejewski did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Hot Rods.
"Not much that I can say," offered Bowling Green manager Kevin Randall. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Mark Jendrzejewski singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jeremy Wood in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Jendrzejewski is hitting at a .302 pace with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 39 times.
