Bruce Torches Braves for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 11th , 2026 Rusty Bruce really did a number on the Rome Braves -- and the Braves did one right back on Bruce's team, the Brooklyn Cyclones, taking the Truist Park contest, 6-5. Bruce delivered a huge 5-for-5 performance for Brooklyn, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box," the 22-year-old center fielder said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Rusty Bruce singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ruben Perez in the 9th. |
