Holmstead Too Tough, Blanks Greensboro Monday, August 17th , 2026 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Greensboro Grasshoppers as starter Dustin Holmstead shut them out, 16-0, at Hot Rods Stadium. The Bowling Green pitcher struck out 5 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits. "Holmstead was good but he wasn't flawless," Greensboro manager Joey Glover said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Bowling Green, but this is on us." |
