Everett Devastated by Playoff Elimination

It "never gets easier" to have a playoff push come to an end, according to reliever Jon Powers of the Everett AquaSox. The Everett player said his club was banking on being able to push themselves into the postseason, but they are now mathematically eliminated.
The AquaSox are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team also missed qualifying for the postseason last season.

Hillsboro Clinches Wild Card

The Hillsboro Hops are celebrating a trip to the postseason and say they plan to make the most of the opportunity.
The team officially clinched a wild card berth today and reliever Joe Moore said they are "looking forward to making some noise" in the playoffs.
"There's nothing better than postseason baseball," he said. "We hope to go on a deep run and give our fans in Hillsboro something to be excited about."
For now, excitement is running high as the team's 75-65 record has clinched the playoff position and the team has a chance to win its 2nd Northwest League championship.

From spring training to the last out of the regular season, it has been the goal of every GM, team, manager and player to reach the Northwest League playoffs. They all aspire to win baseball's Holy Grail, the Round 1 title. Now, for the elite teams, the first steps of that journey begin in earnest with the Round 1 starting today. The opening playoff series will pit these teams against one another:
Spokane Indians vs Hillsboro Hops.
