Player of the Week: Tri-City's Garafaio Monday, July 27th , 2026 22-year-old Giancarlo Garafaio made a few Tri-City headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Northwest League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Garafaio collected 1 home run, 2 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
