Colorado (DSL) Moves on to Round 2

The fans in Colorado (DSL) are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in New York N (DSL).
The Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1 finished off the New York N (DSL) Mets 1 2-1 in the deciding game of the Round 1 played at Ballpark of Colorado (DSL).
They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the Round 2.
For his standout play, Colorado (DSL) second baseman B.J. Lawrence was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .333, drove in 1 runs and scored 1 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Lawrence and that doomed us," said Mets 1 manager David Jaimes. "Hats off to Colorado (DSL), though. That was a great series."
The Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1 will play against the Kansas City (DSL) Royals 1 in the next round. Kansas City (DSL) had a bye in the Round 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Chicago N (DSL) Advances to Round 2

The Chicago N (DSL) Cubs 2 are off to the Round 2.
By a final score of 4-2 at Cardinals Blue Grounds, Chicago N (DSL) ended the Round 1 and knocked out the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals Blue by a series score of 4-1.
"Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said Brandon Flowers, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the Dominican Rookie League playoffs."
For the series, Flowers hit .500 with a .579 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs.
