Ramirez Whacks 3 Out of the Park for DSL Thursday, June 11th , 2026 Ruben Ramirez went yard three times in a DSL Athletics victory over the Cincinnati (DSL) Reds at Great American Ball Park. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the DSL catcher went 5-for-6 against Cincinnati (DSL) with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Athletics to the 20-5 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Ruben Ramirez hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carl Rios in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Alvaro Barron in the 4th, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Johnny Ramos in the 8th. |
