Unruh Hits in 20 Straight Games Monday, June 15th , 2026 With 2 hits at Red Sox 2 Park, Eric Unruh added another game to his hitting streak -- the Boston (DSL) left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Red Sox 2, as they fell, 13-4, to the Texas (DSL) Rangers 2. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Texas (DSL) manager Keith Perez said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Eric Unruh flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Antonio Carrasquillo in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. In 5 games this season, Unruh is batting .591 with 13 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 9 runs and driven in 17. |
